Hawaiian Bacon Sausages

There's a new farmer's market near our house called Ogilvies Food & Artisan Market.  It's just starting out so there aren't too many vendors, but it's growing.  And I love that it's open Sundays because sometimes I can't haul my lazy bones to the market on a Saturday morning.

"The Hungary Butcher" has hormone-free local meats and home made sausages with no fillers.  They're made with natural casings and I believe they're gluten-free.  We were particularly interested in the one called "Hawaiian Bacon", ground ham and bacon with chunks of pineapple.  Being huge fans of Hawaiian pizza, we figured it would be great.

Once we got home from the market, Matt grilled a couple up for lunch.

He cooked them low and slow on the grill.

We served them up with corn on the cob and some spicy mustard and they were fantastic!     The sweetness of the pineapple was amazing with the smoky bacon.  I'm so glad we have two more of these for lunch tomorrow!
